About me
I am a qualified and registered hypnotherapist with a strong desire to help clients by using hypnotherapy and talking therapy to bring about positive growth and permanent change.
Caring and empathetic by nature, I am qualified in both neuro-linguistic programming and teaching meditation. Meditation and mindfulness overlap with, and complement, hypnotherapy as they both encourage living in the moment - not the past or the future, both of which can increase anxiety.
I first discovered hypnotherapy when my daughter was suffering with anxiety and panic attacks as a teenager in 2017/18, and other forms of help and support didn’t seem to be making any tangible difference. We visited a local hypnotherapist and were blown away by how quickly the changes and improvements were brought about, after just three sessions.
I certainly have an insight and understanding of the issues and impact that poor mental health can have on family life. Since the experience with our daughter, I fully appreciate the speed and effectiveness of hypnotherapy which is what prompted me to undertake the training.
Towards the end of the training, I realised that hypnotherapy was something that I would very much like to do for a living. I have always enjoyed a variety of support roles throughout my career, both as a private secretary and more recently as a learning support assistant, working with 16–24-year-olds with educational needs, and I soon reached the conclusion that this was the right path for me to take.
This conclusion was also encouraged by the transformative results I had with clients during training. It is so rewarding and I enjoy meeting new people and bringing about personal growth and change.
I offer a free, no obligation consultation and relaxation session to potential clients. It is my view that this is an essential part of the hypnotherapy journey, especially if hypnotherapy is a new experience. Afterwards, I offer in-person sessions - and online when needed. Home visits can be carried out by arrangement.
I have an enhanced DBS check with up-to-date safeguarding training and I am a member of The General Hypnotherapy Register, The Federation of Holistic Therapists and The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.

When I am not in the treatment room, I enjoy running, yoga, cycling and open water swimming. This is my 'me time' and is something I really enjoy - and because I am a self-care advocate, its importance can never be underestimated.
